Welcome to the site of Bernard Faulhammer.
I have been walking with others through recovery since late 2010 and our church runs the Conquer series, 7 Pillars of freedom support group as well as Hope and Healing ladies support group. I also run a ministry to help Pastors, leaders and Churches in crises: bernardfaulhammer.wordpress.com
I’m living proof that healing, restoration and freedom are a reality. But getting free requires intentional emotional discipleship and course work with fellow disciples. There is no other way, because this is God’s design in the body of Christ. You can never get free alone, because isolation is in fact one of the core characteristics of addicts.
The materials from Pure Desire were birthed at Easthill Church in Gresham Oregon and have been tried and tested for over 20 years. For more information please look at: www.puredesire.org

(My wife and I have over fourteen years ministry experience gained in South Africa and Germany in church planting and pastoral ministry. We are currently serving as pastoral couple at Midwest Church of Christ in Geraldton, Australia. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and am studying Counselling, majoring on Addictions, Family Therapy and Abuse).
The articles in this site come out of years of personal experience and reflection. Most of the Clinical content is informed by the research and material of Dr Patrick Carnes, one of the foremost experts on sexual addiction in the USA, and Dr Ted Roberts, a Pastor and Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist who heads up Pure Desire Ministries International. I also received many invaluable insights from Craig Groome, a counselor and former head of Living Waters South Africa who graciously walked with me in my own journey of recovery.
